Hello!
How is everyone?
Wow, I have been gone for so long. I guess explanation is due. So I guess I should begin from the start:
So months ago, or last year, I was enrolled into an art class. I was thinking "Oh goody! I get even more time to draw and learn about art!" Boy was I wrong on the first bit. The art projects kind of sucked a lot out of me. It was rather intense having to learn new methods with drawing; the time management on my assignments and projects also threw me for a loop. It then got to the point where I had little to no time to work on my own artwork. This lead to creative progress to slow to a crawl. Then there was the projects where we had to replicate pictures. I think I might've gotten too comfortable with using grid squares to copy images, because one drawing I am trying to redraw is feeling impossible to do (then again, it is using a head drawing method I used only once, so I might be that). Lots of things happening.
But really, I think the reason I stopped visiting was because I was no longer contributing much anymore. No art being made. And I was kinda afraid to come back to go through all my built up messages. But mostly, Life has been catching up and I realize that I need to get more out of it. Be it playing new games, to looking for a job.
Then there is some more crazy stuff: I was in a car accident. I sideswiped someone and my truck couldn't drive on the road for a while. I still need to fix the front end alignment and replace the door,(Which I can't find because Toyota Pickups are strict in their models; A door that comes from a deluxe cab, a 4runner, or something that isn't base 2wd, won't fit, and they aren't cheap.
This also financially hurt us because of how much the replacement parts are. Thank god none of the mechanical parts were damaged so I can still drive.
(Toyota 4-cylinders fucking indestructible :bademoticon: )
Oh, and I was unharmed. Nothing. Quite amazing actually. I did learn a valuable lesson
I also have been looking for a job in auto mechanics. Really hard. Can't seem to find anything and because the alignment needs to be fixed, I don't trust it past 45mph.
On a more RECENT note, my car is coming together nicely. Just yesterday, however, we ran into a small problem: When bleeding the new front brake calipers, the front-right has little-to-no fluid coming out when we tried bleeding it, while the other side does. When you apply the brakes, the left side does lock, but not the right. We do have a plan because we have a parts car outside. We checked it and both the front brakes are locking, so we can swap some parts to find out the problem. We also are trying to replace the weather stripping on the doors which is already difficult (we might have to remove the window and the manual LITERALLY SAYS we have to drill out the rivets and replace them. And we got no rivet tool/rivets). Eventually we are going to have to work on installing the clutch slave, and that is going to be a chore when we get there, if we get there :bademoticon:.(clutch slave isn't stock, meaning a lot of working in tight spaces and hoping you drilled in the right spot) I really hope to get it done this year so I can bring it to school and show my autoshop teacher. Been talking about it so long I want to at least bring it in on time. We pretty much just need to get the headlight wiring problem fixed so I can put the front bumper on. Hell, once we finish the brakes, the clutch, the exhaust, the damn headlights, the distributor timing, the manual choke, and any other random problem that I'm forgetting/haven't found yet, we can put the hood on and possibly even take the car off the blocks.
Tl;dr Art class is draining, responsibilities, crashed but still rolling, and
#projectcar #carproblemsI probably missed a lot while I was gone and I'm not even sure I can go through it all. I'll try, but a quick update would be nice :3
