You remember how I said I was going to work on this?
Co-op in a nutshell by cyborgebolt
Well, I have decided I should work on it. However, I need to get ahold of something (preferably free) to use with this. I no longer have my tablet, so I could either use my mouse or the touchpad on my laptop (and I'm not even sure that is a good idea).

I used to use Gimp, but something tells me I might need to take other options into consideration. This is why I'm asking my watchers, which is realistically just 5 people and the rest being randoms.

There is at least one thing I know I need, which is to have different layers. It would be cleaner, easier to do this on, and won't harm the drawing in any way that could make problems for the reference.

Now that I asked that, I have one or two more questions for you all regarding what I have made so far. I realize that A LOT of my characters tend to be "One-Offs" and never drawn again, as well as little to no references for people to draw them.

My question is this: Is there anyone that I have drawn that you all would like to see me draw again? Maybe doing a certain action, maybe just a fullbody reference, or even colored. I could even try to redo some drawings if you feel I should

Hello!Epic entrance  How is everyone?

Wow, I have been gone for so long. I guess explanation is due. So I guess I should begin from the start:

So months ago, or last year, I was enrolled into an art class. I was thinking "Oh goody! I get even more time to draw and learn about art!" Boy was I wrong on the first bit. The art projects kind of sucked a lot out of me. It was rather intense having to learn new methods with drawing; the time management on my assignments and projects also threw me for a loop. It then got to the point where I had little to no time to work on my own artwork. This lead to creative progress to slow to a crawl. Then there was the projects where we had to replicate pictures. I think I might've gotten too comfortable with using grid squares to copy images, because one drawing I am trying to redraw is feeling impossible to do (then again, it is using a head drawing method I used only once, so I might be that). Lots of things happening.

But really, I think the reason I stopped visiting was because I was no longer contributing much anymore. No art being made. And I was kinda afraid to come back to go through all my built up messages. But mostly, Life has been catching up and I realize that I need to get more out of it. Be it playing new games, to looking for a job.

Then there is some more crazy stuff: I was in a car accident. I sideswiped someone and my truck couldn't drive on the road for a while. I still need to fix the front end alignment and replace the door,(Which I can't find because Toyota Pickups are strict in their models; A door that comes from a deluxe cab, a 4runner, or something that isn't base 2wd, won't fit, and they aren't cheap. Aww... Fuck...

This also financially hurt us because of how much the replacement parts are. Thank god none of the mechanical parts were damaged so I can still drive. Britney Spears - X Factor Hallelujah (Toyota 4-cylinders fucking indestructible :bademoticon: )
Oh, and I was unharmed. Nothing. Quite amazing actually. I did learn a valuable lesson
I also have been looking for a job in auto mechanics. Really hard. Can't seem to find anything and because the alignment needs to be fixed, I don't trust it past 45mph.

On a more RECENT note, my car is coming together nicely. Just yesterday, however, we ran into a small problem: When bleeding the new front brake calipers, the front-right has little-to-no fluid coming out when we tried bleeding it, while the other side does. When you apply the brakes, the left side does lock, but not the right. We do have a plan because we have a parts car outside. We checked it and both the front brakes are locking, so we can swap some parts to find out the problem. We also are trying to replace the weather stripping on the doors which is already difficult (we might have to remove the window and the manual LITERALLY SAYS we have to drill out the rivets and replace them. And we got no rivet tool/rivets). Eventually we are going to have to work on installing the clutch slave, and that is going to be a chore when we get there, if we get there :bademoticon:.(clutch slave isn't stock, meaning a lot of working in tight spaces and hoping you drilled in the right spot) I really hope to get it done this year so I can bring it to school and show my autoshop teacher. Been talking about it so long I want to at least bring it in on time. We pretty much just need to get the headlight wiring problem fixed so I can put the front bumper on. Hell, once we finish the brakes, the clutch, the exhaust, the damn headlights, the distributor timing, the manual choke, and any other random problem that I'm forgetting/haven't found yet, we can put the hood on and possibly even take the car off the blocks.

Tl;dr  Art class is draining, responsibilities, crashed but still rolling, and #projectcar #carproblems

I probably missed a lot while I was gone and I'm not even sure I can go through it all. I'll try, but a quick update would be nice :3

Happy Birthday!

2 min read
Hooray! I am one year older! Or one day older relative to yesterday! Whatever floats your boat.

I guess I should do an update of how things have been. Lately I have been drawing, but I am doing less robot based stuff. I am more leaning towards drawing people. More specifically, women. Remember this? Tabitha (Random Request) by cyborgebolt
Well, I have been making others to try and see how much better I can get at drawing girls, but with more to them. So far, I have drawn 2 more, one is in progress, and one has yet to be started. One of them is part mechanical, and I will show a design concept for the legs since they won't ever be posted for any other reason

I know I don't post that often anymore, and that isn't because I'm not drawing at all. There is just so much planning as well as bits here and there that can't just be thrown out there.

I can count around 7 characters that are all currently in development with three that fully drawn (one kinda passes but could use a redraw) but still need the bios developed. Two of those are just designs with no character to them; this means I have to build around a pre-existing idea! And then there is the other four, which I have been juggling around changing priorities while fully making the vehicles first so I can make the body more integrated. So mentally I have been kinda tied up in progression. To make matters worse, I can sense an impending art block coming up due to me putting all this work in squeezing every bit of inspiration onto these guys. I do know I have the story lore written down pretty far along with a drawing that is half finished to play in it. I know I am a broken record and this is probobly the 5th time now I've explained all this.

That all being said, I am doing a lot more for everyone than I used to, putting more care into the designing process rather than just shoving them off the table and saying "Fwoosh! I did a thing!" I do hate how I'm getting at an awkward milestone in art. Lately my deph of field is off, and I know it's because I'm going with perspectives that I'm not used to. What is awkward is that to me it looks annoyingly off, but if I were to show someone I know, they would just simply say "It's better than what I could do, I couldn't even/can only draw a stick figure" (I swear, that is what everyone says. It's like an artist's Arrow to the Knee).

Slowly I am gaining confidence in my work, and I am even taking an art class that is introducing new concepts like optical illusions and styles. Eventually I will bring them home and show everyone here. So hooray! I am so tired :p

On a side note, just finished watching up to stage 5 of Initial D! And It was awesome!

I haven't entirely settled back in the chair again, but I am finally starting to post artwork. I hope this means I actually get to take another shot at all this. One thing I know I should do is join an art group so I can get my stuff noticed. Anyone got any recommendations?
